1. Overview of copper conductor types
Copper conductors are composed of a single copper wire or multiple copper wires, which are described as follows:
1. Hard copper wire: It is cold-processed by wire drawing and has high tensile strength. It is suitable for conductors of overhead transmission lines, distribution lines, and construction lines.
2. Soft copper wire: Hard copper wire is heated to remove the residual stress generated by the cooling process. It is flexible and bendable and has high electrical conductivity. It is used to manufacture conductors for communication and power cables, electrical machinery, and various Wires for household appliances.
3. Semi-hard copper wire: The tensile strength is between hard copper wire and soft copper wire. It is used for tying overhead lines and wiring of radios.
4. Tinned copper wire: The surface of the copper wire is tinned to increase the weldability and protect the copper conductor from corrosion when the PVC or rubber insulation is extruded, and to prevent the aging of the rubber insulation.
5. Rectangular copper wire: A copper wire with a square or rectangular cross-section. It is a material for manufacturing induction coils such as large transformers or large motors.
6. Oxygen-free copper wire: a copper wire with an oxygen content of less than 0.001% and extremely high purity. The copper content is more than 99.99%. It will not be embrittled by oxygen. It is used to make wires in vacuum tubes, semiconductor parts wires, and ultra-fine wires, etc.
7. Enameled wire: After the copper wire is softened, the surface is coated with insulating paint and heated and dried. It is generally divided into natural resin and synthetic resin enameled wire.
8. Copper foil wire: A conductor made of flat and extremely thin copper wire wrapped around fiber wire.
First twist and then plate the wire: twist the unplated copper wire and then coat it with aluminum.

6. Applications and characteristics of copper wire
Pure copper is shaped into components with a predetermined width to create copper strips. Due to copper's intrinsic qualities, the components have a number of features that make them suited for usage in a range of industrial applications, including outstanding electrical conductivity.
Characteristics and applications of copper wire
1. Electrical conductivity: Copper, which is widely used in the electronic industry for circuit boards, transformers, wires, cables, etc., is a superior electrical conductor.
2. Thermal conductivity: Due to their great thermal conductivity, copper bars/rods are frequently employed in radiators, heat exchangers, and other heating appliances.
3. Plasticity: Copper wire may be molded into a variety of shapes with ease. Processing techniques that are frequently used to create materials for handicrafts and construction decorations include stamping, bending, cutting, etc.
4. Corrosion resistance: Copper bars/rods are frequently employed in the manufacture of equipment for the chemical industry, the maritime industry, and other settings due to their relative corrosion resistance.
